I spoke yesterday about wanting to speak to Swedish speaking Finns and Sámi people who have experience with the police or courts. Here are some little graphics (I'm a lawyer, please forgive how rudimentary they are!) with information. Feel free to share them!
The experiences of these people are vital to research into minority language rights. It's only when we hear the real-life stories that we can understand if the systems in place are working.
Obviously this can be a sensitive issue for people - don't worry, your anonymity will be protected! My email is here and my DMs (@GaRoDean) are open. Even if you think you might be able to help, please don't hesitate to get in touch!

Earlier in the week I shared some little graphics looking for people to participate in my research here in Finland. I'm still reall eager to hear from anyone who thinks they might be Abe to help, or who knows someone who might be able to help.
Keeping that in mind, a very kind translator friend ran up these two graphics in Swedish and Finnish for me so that they might have a wider reach! Feel free to copy, paste, share! Also, as ever, DM are open on my personal account @GaRoDean

Today is my last day on this account. It’s been an *interesting* week to be in Helsinki. It’s an interesting time to be a PhD candidate who’s focus is minority rights.
I did a masters in International Human Rights Law in Åbo. I’m very glad to have learned so much about human rights in a country so dedicated to upholding common human rights and facilitating peace.
It was here in Finland that I was inspired to pursue a PhD in minority language rights. I had seen so many comparisons between the status of Irish in Ireland and the status of Swedish in Finland and I found it so interesting.

1. Passion breeds impulse buys

Impulse buys are the name of the game with e-commerce. If they don't buy now, they likely never will. People who are passionate click the buy button like it's going out of style.
2. Higher priced products = more profit

Obviously. But most people sell cheap products with shit margins. My AOV is over $50. That means I can afford to spend more to acquire a customer. It also means my margins are fantastic. This takes skill though.

people mean well but saying "if you're mentally ill, reach out" is just... I see it from other MI people too. But like, we know the hotlines exist, we know we have doctors.
not saying don't share resources with people, but it all just feels very simplistic tbh. even if you can, phoning a hotline isn't necessarily helpful for many people anyway.
I wish people would realise that even with therapy, meds, supportive family and friends, psychs, hotlines, etc., many of us are still going to be very mentally ill.
