Remember the four elements of the independence movement. The SNP is the lever by which Scotland will be extricated from the Union.
The fulcrum on which the lever if the SNP turns is the First Minister and the Scottish Government.
The Scottish Parliament is the solid base on which the fulcrum rests.
The Yes movement is the force which must be applied to the lever.
Defend all four of these elements, or our cause is lost. #DissolveTheUnion

First Minister Carwyn Jones has this afternoon met Theresa May to discuss her Brexit deal. He told me it was the most relaxed and conversational he's ever found her. 'I was sure she thought it was a relief to meet me rather than one of her own backbenchers.' Here's a thread.
He says he told her 'we need to move away from the chaos we saw last week towards stability, particularly in the long term. We need to know what sort of relationship the govt wants with EU. We need to know where the money's going to come from after 2022 when EU funds disappear'

We are delighted to announce that the first #MND clinical drug trial in Scotland, in over 20 years, has launched! 👏 MND Scotland is committing over £1.5 million into bringing MND drug trials to Scotland, with #MIROCALS being the first investment. mndscotland.org.uk/latest/news/fi…
#MIROCALS is a clinical trial currently taking place in the UK and France. It is testing a new potential therapy for #ALS, the most common form of #MND. The drug being tested is called Interleukin-2, which is already used for some types of cancer.
Now recruiting people with #MND in #Glasgow, who meet the criteria, the study will focus on types of immune cells in the blood, which are capable of influencing the speed at which #ALS progresses. Find out more about the trial here: mndscotland.org.uk/mirocals

Me and JK Rowling; A Thread: I grew up not just with Harry Potter but down the road from JK Rowling, in Edinburgh. A place where it was easy to imagine the world she had created had come to life. Like most children and teens, I was obsessed with the books and couldn't wait for
each new one. Going past her house on the bus I would desperately try and peer over the fence. Reading interviews I felt inspired by her story, her clear love of Scotland and her struggles as a single mum. Like me, she seemed to be a true socialist at heart, and the books
reflected that too; they were full of stories about justice, love and kindness. I was perhaps a bit let down when I found out her kids attended private school, since Edinburgh has so many excellent state schools, mine being one of them. But she was still a hero, an inspiration.
