Look, it was obvious that Trump knew about the Trump Tower meeting before it happened, and it's quite possible that Cohen is inventing knowledge of something that is actually true. 1/

Nunberg may have his own credibility problems -- he had been fired from the campaign the previous summer -- but does anyone in their right mind think Don Jr. would set up this meeting and not tell his dad about it? 3/

Per a CNN source Cohen didn't mention this to the House Intel Committee -- of course, he could have been lying then, as Don Jr. seems to have been. 5/ 
But even if Cohen and Nunberg have no actual knowledge, it seems very, very likely, just as a matter of common sense, that Don Jr., thinking he had scored a massive coup for his tough-to-impress dad, would have told him so. 6/end
