1. I don't know whether to take @ggreenwald deleting so many tweets as an acknowledgment of sorts that he's been a tool. I suppose even if he's just covering his butt, it still suffices as that acknowledgement on some level.
2. The truth is coming out and in that process some are going to have to come to terms with the fact that they were manipulated and weaponized. This recognition is that much more important now that we see Russian active measures repeating the same tactics.
3. It is their goal to manipulate American voters. It is their goal to create chaos, sow division, tamper Democratic turnout and deliver a GOP win. Why? Because the GOP has proven they won't stand up for our country - they will protect themselves at all costs.
4. Any controversial idea they can seize upon on the Left and leverage division and discord - they will. It only serves them. We know this. We saw it unfold in 2016 and they are doing it again.
5. Clearly, I can't tell you what to think. The best I can do is ask you to consider the pattern we've seen and how your views are being informed. If you find yourself in a social media group that insists that the "war" is between 'progressives' and 'democrats', please take heed.
6. This was key to their success in 2016. It is key to their success now. They know that and, frankly, we know that. The manipulation needs to stop. Social media companies are trying to intervene, but the electorate is going to have to be willing to step up and adapt.
