Really wish Apple would embrace web-based APIs more. Things like Apple Music are *begging* for an easy-to-use API that can be accessed outside of native macOS/iOS apps.

Example...I've got a simple web-based app for checking on new music from artists you have in your library.
Works beautifully with Spotify (thanks to their Web API), but literally impossible to use with Apple Music unless I build a native macOS or iOS app.

So, now here I am trying to figure out if it's feasible for me to learn Swift or Objective-C to make this thing. 😭

Then there's this whole thing I got up and kicking on Spotify's Web API in just a few hours.
As a follow up, I found that Apple's new MusicKit JS library will actually let you authenticate in the browser.
Still a huge nightmare for pulling data out of it (can't be done server-side), but it's a small glimmer of hope!
