The oldest written customer complaint dates back to ancient Mesopotamia.

In the cuneiform tablet, a customer claims he was sold inferior copper ingots (and that his seller had treated his emissaries rudely "in enemy territory" and refused to refund the money).
In 1974, the Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis published a paper titled "The Unsuccessful Self-Treatment of a Case of 'Writer’s Block.'" It contained zero words.

It has been cited more than 60 times.
The flags of Mozambique and Guatemala are the only UN-member country flags that feature guns. The Mozambique one features an AK-47, while the Guatemala one has 2 crossed rifles.
In 1998, a South African inventor made Blaster, a flamethrower attached to a car to deter carjackings. The flamethrower wasn't (and still isn't) technically illegal-because self-defence.

The first buyer was a cop.
In October 1998, a bolt of lightning killed an entire football team during a match in eastern Congo. While other people were hurt, no one in the opposing team was.
On 21 August 1986, Lake Nyos in Cameroon farted so much CO2 into the air that it killed 1,746 people and 3,500 animals in just a few hours. In the nearby town of Nyos, only 6 of its 800 people survived one of the strangest natural disasters in history.
The Republic of Benin (not to be confused with the current similarly named state, which was formerly Dahomey) was independent for less than a day.
It declared independence on 19th Sept 1967, and was overrun by Nigerian troops the next day.

It was a puppet state of Biafra.
In 1995, during the coronation of the current King Oyo of Toro, Rukidi IV, he ran away from the throne and sat on his mother's lap (he was 3 at the time). He also yanked away the crown because it was too heavy.

The next day, he attended a Cabinet meeting.
Google was originally called BackRub.
On April Fools' Day 2004, Google released Gmail.

On April Fools' Day 2007, the company sent an email to its employees in NYC saying there was a python loose in the office.

Neither of them were hoaxes.
Places and things that had to be renamed because their names were NSFW.
-Beaver College (porn blockers kept flagging its website).

-Sexmoan in Philippines (a unanimous name change in 1991 for this town).

-Mistubishi Pajero (in Spanish countries, because Pajero means "Wanker")
Mexico's 34th president ruled for less than an hour and then quit. Sources on his reign, the shortest in history, range from 15 to 56 minutes.

In Africa the shortest presidency should be whose? Yusuf Lule (UG) who ruled for all of 2 months, 1 week?
Jehovah's Witnesses don't celebrate birthdays because the only two accounts of birthday parties in the Bible ended in murder (the hanging of the Pharaoh's baker during the Pharaohs birthday, and the beheading of John the Baptist at King Herod Antipas' birthday, 1800 years apart).
