Here goes my second book thread about my learnings of the wonderful book "Shoe Dog" by Phil Knight, Founder of @Nike

3) When you run around an oval track, you have no real destination. Atleast none that can fully justify the effort. The act itself becomes the destination.
4) Let everyone else call your idea crazy...just keep going. Don't stop. Don't even think about stopping until you get there and don't give much thought to where "there" is. Whatever comes, just don't stop.

25) Phil Knight's sister Jeanne was his first part time employee for his company. He paid her two dollars for an hour of work.
26) Knight's company was first named "Blue Ribbon" which was his basement in the house he lived.
27) At the age of 24 after completing his MBA from Stanford, Phil was sure about two things. Impressing the Shoe Dealers from Japan and travelling around the world to learn new things and get inspired.
28) Phil Knight was a first class athlete. He was one of the finest runners in Oregon.
29) Phil Knight's coach was Mr. Bowerman who produced Olympic athletes every year. He considered Bowerman as the best coach in the world.
30) Later, Phil made Bowerman his Co- Founder for his company.
31) Jeff Johnson, Phil's classmate at Stanford who was managing sales at Addidas, joined Phil on his quest, after seeing his shoes.

34) There was a lot of ways to come down from Mt. Fuji, but only one way to go up. ( Life lesson said Knight)

40) Phil married his student Miss Parks while he was teaching at Portland State. She was also a great employee and brought great numbers. Even during her pregnancy she worked with all her strength.

43) The name of the company "NIKE" was first discovered in Jeff Johnson's dream who was managing sales for Blue Ribbon with Phil Knight.
44) Phil wanted to name his company "Dimension Six" as he liked it very much than all other employees

47) Shoe Dogs were people who people who devoted themselves wholly to making, selling, buying or designing of Shoes.

49) Phil Knight after launching Nike started out his own brand instead of selling someone else's brand ie "Onitsuka"
50) Supply and demand are always the root problems in business.
51) In 1973, anything was preferable to not bringing the product to the market on time.

53) "Fear of failure would never be our downfall as a company. Not that any of us thought we wouldn't fail. We did fail and we're lucky that we failed fast and had the chance to learn from it" - Phil Knight

55) Losing was death. Even if you didn't win don't say that you lost.
