@PhilippeReines @AriMelber I think one of the best things that's happened since Trump became president - and there's not much to celebrate - has been the diminution of Steve Bannon. Once considered the Prince of Darkness with immense power, he's been reduced to half-assed self-promotion in Europe. /1
@PhilippeReines @AriMelber I was doing book events in Italy while Bannon was there, and I think a C-list guy like me got better press :)

@PhilippeReines @AriMelber Treating him as a man of ideas, or as a motive force in very much, is to give him the importance he craves. He'd do shows and interviews 24/7 if you offered it to him, because as a political force, he was done within weeks of Election Day. (Yes, I really believe this.) /3
@PhilippeReines @AriMelber At some point, you just stop talking to the guy. Freak shows are interesting, but they're not useful. And politically, Bannon closed out of town a long time ago. /4x
