Here is why Rosenstein is running the show for Mueller and co
Harder to complain when you voted for the guy who's doing stuff you don't like. 
Same thing with everyone supporting Mueller. They're all out there saying how great he is, what if he clears Trump. How can they say that it was a trick? it was a con?
Mueller has been investigating, supposedly, every single controversy that the left brings up. what if he clears all of those? There is nothing they can do.
People seem to forget that new or spoke with Trump the day before he was appointed. What if Trump told him, "I'm going to work with you on every single thing because there is nothing there." ?
In one fell swoop Mueller could clear any objection to Trump that the left has come up with and at the same time, crucify Hillary & Co
