Truly top tier players. Three have played together in the same competitive team, but not a pro team in this year's TI.
Gameplay begins!
First blood to the humans! Some teamfighting, 2-2 with Five slightly up on net worth.
Now 3-5 (Five is Dire, has 5 kills). Five still slightly up on net worth,
Five has also taken their bottom T1 tower. So we are a bit ahead.
3-7, 5 up by 1k gold!
Five kills Death Prophet, who used her high-cooldown ult right before being killed. Big deal to shut her down.
Now 8-11, Five has taken mid and bottom T1 towers. Humans up by <1k gold.
Good teamfight for Five. 9-15, still even net worth.
Exciting teamfight with reasonably equal trade, now 12-17. Humans up by 1k gold.
Teamfight ends up taking down the enemy Gyro, who is by far the strongest member of the human team. Traded our Necro. Now 13-19, humans up 3k gold.
Humans wipe Five, Five wipes the humans. Now 20-26, humans up by 2k gold. So many crazy plays.
Two humans killed and then buyback. 22-28, 2k gold delta.
Humans wipe Five, 24-28. 3k gold to the humans.
Five doing Roshan now. Unclear if humans saw it, despite a ward right outside the pit.
Humans do not contest, Roshan falls to Five. Now 24-28, humans up 6k gold.
That was a pretty sneaky Rosh :).
Humans have a very solid lead, 24-28 up by 7k gold. Game in their favor, they are likely going to win.
Five took mid T2, pushing into base.
Five pulls back as the humans come up to defend.
Humans kill Witch Doctor, who was carrying aegis (not something a human would do). The time it took to kill him let the other Five bots spread out in lane.
27-30, humans up 8k gold.
Humans get a good kill on Necro. 28-31, humans up 9k gold.
30-31, humans up 12 gold. Really awesome gameplay by the humans.
Humans surround lion, get the kill. 31-31, humans up 14k gold.
Five taking Rosh again, but humans move to contest. Five disengages.
Now 33-32, humans up 13k. All heroes back up.
Humans going in to finish up Roshan.
Humans pushing mid T3 tower.
Humans get a 4-man ravage, now 38-34. Humans up 20k gold, Five buys back.
Five turns around the push, doesn't lose the barracks. Wipes the humans despite the Aegis. "That's an amazing play by OpenAI" say the casters.
Now 38-38, humans up 12k.
Humans do 5-man buyback, wipe Five. No buybacks left on Five. That's gotta be game.
Humans take mid barracks, pushing bottom.
43-39 kills, humans up 19k. Humans took last barracks. Humans have megas.
Five's heroes back up, it's 43 kills to 40. Humans up 19k gold. Humans have megas. Not much that can be done.
Human gyro is down for the next 91 seconds.
Humans taking it easy now, know they have the advantage of time.
Humans push into base, Five defends. Ancient at 1/3 health.
Congratulations to Xiao8, BurNIng, rOtK, Ferrari_430, SanSheng — top-tier Dota players who defeated OpenAI Five after 45 mins of exciting gameplay. And thanks to everyone in the Dota community who watched. Looking forward to showcasing further improvements in the future!
