Guys, if you haven't already, take a moment to congratulate @JesseKellyDC on his impending move back to Quebec. We're all excited for him, and I decided to help him out a bit linguistically, as he's probably a bit rusty, having been away a few years.
So let's start with this.
One thing Jesse will probably remember from his misspent youth and that a lot of folks don't know is that French -- continental, Cajun, Quebecois, whatever -- is loaded with little repetitive idiom that provide emphasis and grease communication.
Cajuns will do things like add "yeah" or "yeah yeah." I suggest Jesse lean on that until he's back in the groove; Quebecois and Cajuns tend to get on reasonably well, neither one really being Canadian.
Now, as a former Marine, Jesse will infrequently but definitely find use for epithets of less-than-pleasant regular use. Specifically because he's a Marine, I recommend this video for like a billion reasons.
