I was SUPPOSED to work last night, but instead I derailed a Work Skype completely by linking to a website I've been visiting for, like... ten years. The Blind Item Archive for alt.gossip.celebrities.
In case you don't know, a "blind item" is an attempt to print rumors and gossip while skirting libel laws. They don't name the subject, but drop hints that COULD be several people. You have to guess who they mean, and they don't confirm or deny.
An example would be something like, "This single-named, foreign-born singer was caught eating babies last night!"

Seal? Bono? Grimes? Björk? Sting? That could be a lot of people. So, that's how the column/paper protects itself.
"Ugh Spike why do you read that petty bullshit?"

Because "respectable" papers don't print stories like "This person was not invited back to the Met Gala this year because he sharted his pants on the red carpet last time, here's photographic evidence."
Not gonna lie, some of them are EXTREMELY petty non-stories. So-and-so was rude to a fan, so-and-so left Important Event rudely early, etc. But that's NOT what I'm there for.

I am there for sharts. Figurative AND literal. :V
Anyway, the REALLY NICE thing about Blind Item Archive is it records the newgroup's best guesses, so you don't have to wonder. You can find the site here.

A good general rule of thumb? The more frequently the same rumors target the same person, over a course of months and months? The more reliable I think they are.

And with that being said? I wouldn't buy a Tesla anytime soon.
