If you're a Christian (of most branches), one of the fundamental tenets of the faith is belief in the Trinity. Oh, you can dispute mysteries of it all day, the intricacies, the details. But do you believe in God, Christ & Holy Spirit?

2. If the answer to that question is no, you are not a Christian. That may be fine. You may have some other faith - whatever, none of my business, but you aren't Christian. Leftism works along a similar line with regards to Intersectionality and Socialism.
3. The Leftist will ask you if you believe in white privilege. Male privilege. If you believe redistribution of wealth, etc... These are his Trinity. To a Rightist, these are points to be disputed. Redistribution probably doesn't work. White privilege must be proven concretely.
4. To the Leftist, this is the Trinity. You can, perhaps, dispute the minor details of the mysteries - to some extent - but you cannot ever question the efficacy of redistribution, the existence of white privilege. The oppressed state of women.
5. Now, in this way, Leftism proposes to be a theocracy. There can be no faith that is not subsumed into Leftism. Leftism is good. Leftism is salvation. Everything else is heresy or blasphemy. Rightists are, quite literally, infidels to the Left.
6. When they discuss Socialism, they are not trying to solve a specific problem like, say, healthcare, or poverty. They are attempt to ascertain if you are a heretic or an infidel. As soon as you self-identify as a non-believer, they are permitted to attempt to destroy you.
7. They want to hurt you at this point. Since they cannot do this physically (yet), they want to hurt you emotionally. Or, perhaps, go for your job and hurt you economically, or socially by banning you from polite society. They must punish, to save your soul, you see.
8. They burn witches, and conduct inquisitions. They have militant jihadists (literal and figurative) in their service. They are the very Handmaid's Tale shit they claim to hate. They hate us because we are not believers. No more, no less.
