Mexican National Faces Deportation After Pleading Guilty to Voter Fraud (which Democrats say doesn't exist) in Texas bit.ly/2Nfp9bp
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton announced that a Mexican national pleaded guilty Thursday to voter fraud in three elections, including one for president in 2016 and will eventually be deported.
Laura Janeth Garza, 38, a Mexican citizen, pleaded guilty to voter fraud charges of voter impersonation and ineligible voting, both 2nd-degree felonies. Garza was sentenced to 10 years in jail and a $10K fine. She will be deported after serving her jail time.

1. In Texas, illegal voting is a second degree felony punishable by two to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000. In September, a Mexican national received 10 years in jail after pleading guilty to voter fraud charges including ineligible voting in Montgomery County.
2.Last year, a Mexican national and legal permanent U.S. resident got an eight year prison sentence for falsely claiming U.S. citizenship in Dallas County where she voted as a Republican at least five times. Deportation proceedings can follow.

Fun facts about our Texas Attorney General, Ken Paxton.

on August 3, 2015, in Paxton's first year in office, he became the first Texas Attorney General in 32 years to be indicted.

He still hasn't gone to trial, and it's not supposed to start until after the 2018 election.

Texas AG Ken Paxton has been under indictment since 2015 for three felony charges- 2 for securities fraud and 1 for failing to register with securities regulators.

The punishment is up to life in prison and yet he hasn't spent a day in prison yet.

Paxton's lawyers have tried to undermine the case by cutting the fees paid to the prosecutors.

Several lawsuits filed by Paxton's friend and campaign donor were also unsuccessful at cutting the prosecutors' pay.

First, major donors to Empower Texans & related PACs make up about 17% of Paxton's fundraising this filing. Kyle Stallings, Windi Grimes, Dick Saulsbury, the Sparkses, Wallace Hall, and Kathaleen Wall all gave. But there were 2 massive Empower-world donors there, too... #txlege
