JUST IN: Sen. Feinstein issues statement on Kavanaugh accuser: "It is in the hands of the FBI to conduct an investigation. This should happen before the Senate moves forward on this nominee.”
Sen. Harris: "Christine Blasey Ford courageously stepped forward to tell her story — it is a credible and serious allegation. ... A vote on Kavanaugh’s nomination must be delayed until there is a thorough investigation."
Sen. Grassley’s office: “Judge Kavanaugh’s background has been thoroughly vetted by the FBI on six different occasions throughout his decades of public service, and no such allegation ever surfaced.”
Sen. Schumer: “Senator Grassley must postpone the vote until, at a very minimum, these serious and credible allegations are thoroughly investigated. For too long, when woman have made serious allegations of abuse, they have been ignored. That cannot happen in this case."

White House statement on Kavanaugh allegations: “On Friday, Judge Kavanaugh ‘categorically and unequivocally’ denied this allegation. This has not changed. Judge Kavanaugh and the White House both stand by that statement."
