Saw the new Predator last night. I was warned. I knew what I was letting myself in for. I've only myself to blame.
But my God man that film is witless beyond the bounds of human imagination. It's a cultural atrocity.
Thing is, I swore I wouldn't get cross. I thought: I need my nostalgia muscle tickled a bit and it can be as dreadful as all buggary but I want to see a Predator movie. And then I got cross.
The worst part is, within the first minute they make the Predator... Not Scary. And right then, instantly, the whole thing is lost.
The only saving grace is that it has the original soundtrack. Everything else about it - everything else - is a shimmering shower of shit.
