Joe Biden 2016: "Biden says former President Clinton’s past “shouldn’t matter” in the context of the 2016 campaign, saying he “paid a price” in getting impeached over the Monica Lewinsky scandal.

“No, it shouldn’t matter,” Mr. Biden said in an excerpton NBC’s “Meet the Press".
“But he paid a price for it. He paid a price. He was impeached,” Mr. Biden said, referring to the impeachment resulting from Mr. Clinton’s relationship with Ms. Lewinsky, the former White House intern.

This is a good lesson for Republicans, but they never learn it.

In 2009-2010, when many of us conservative health wonks (especially people like @Avik ) tried to get GOP to coalesce around a plan to pass in the future...they basically took a pass.

That is one reason GOP failed.
The GOP remains completely incompetent and inept when it comes to long term policy strategies, and health care is the prime example.

If you want to know why they failed on repealing Obamacare, start with their actions in 2010.
Sound govt policy (conservative, liberal, or otherwise) takes time to grow and evolve. The GOP never bothered to really have a debate on what 'conservative health care' looked like.

So when Trump came along, the GOP was caught flat footed. And thus, were bound to fail.

On this #VeteransDay2018 ...short rant on the Veterans Administration...and its continued failures to our military veterans.
In August 2014, with much press celebration, Obama signed a bill (with the support of John McCain) that purported to fix the major deficiencies within the VA.

I was highly critical of the bill at the time, and I think history has proven I was right.

The bill increased funding for the VA, was supposed to enforced timely care for Vets, and increased funding for mental health and sexual abuse.

Note, the basis of the whole piece is that KAVANAUGH MUST BE GUILTY. That is the fundamental cornerstone of his entire thesis.

I mean, that itself should be enough not to take him seriously. But he goes on!
Second, Bouie acts like Kavanaugh comes from historical wealth, and is imposing that on others.

Lets note: FORD ALSO CAME FROM A WEALTHY FAMILY. We are talking about two children of the Washington elite, both members of the 1%.

I'm a few pages into the IG report and I just can't get over the thought that there's no reason there ever should've been an investigation into Hillary's e-mails in the first place. The FBI was just trying to satisfy the Republicans.
"....we did not have confidence that Strzok’s decision to prioritize the Russia investigation over following up on the Midyear-related investigative lead... was free from bias." One was a thing, the other was not a thing. He picked the thing over the not thing. That's not bias.

Clinton body count 1. Shawn Lucas served the DNC on July 3 with a complaint & summons in a fraud action on behalf of Sanders supporters. On August 2, he was found lying on the bathroom floor dead by his girlfriend when she came home that evening. She said he was in good health.
Clinton body count 2. John Ashe The former President of the United Nations General Assembly mysteriously passed away on June 22, a few days before he was scheduled to begin pretrial meetings involving shady financial dealings regarding a former Clinton crony. Death by barbell.
