There is no “perfect” survivor. The idea that a 15 yo girl who experienced assault would have immediately reported it to the police, or even her parents, is ridiculous and insulting to the thousands of women and girls who have experienced sexual assault and the ensuing trauma.

People don’t report assault because our culture is conditioned to doubt and blame survivors. From social circles to law enforcement, many survivors are met with skepticism, ostracized, and sometimes punishment for coming forward.
In addition, survivors may not fully realize that what happened to them was actually assault. Trauma affects people differently — and our society typically blames victims of sexual assault, which means sometimes victims blame themselves.
Those factors make it difficult to recognize assault for what it is.

And that’s where an FBI investigation comes in. For Kavanaugh, this is a job interview — he should be investigated because he is a nominee for a LIFETIME JOB on the Supreme Court.
The FBI has been called in to investigate nominees before, even after a background check has been completed, if new information comes forward. This is not out of the ordinary. This is within their jurisdiction. Suggesting anything else is a blatant lie.
