I can't imagine what Dr. Ford is going through right now. In the morning she's going to testify in front of the whole world about her most painful moments. She knows she will be attacked.

She's doing it because she wants to protect others.

This is what courage looks like.
I just want to say I admire her so much and can't help but think how much resolve and strength of character this requires and I'm just one voice but God damn I wish I could tell her I'm proud of her and I have her back and there are MILLIONS of us.
And to the all the women whose stories I've read this week, whose pain I've heard, who's courage I admire, can I just say I believe you, I believe IN you & there are more of US who believe in equality, justice & love than those who believe in fear, hatred & abuse.

99.9% of Americans earn less than $10 million a year.

Taxing 0.1% of the population 70% on every dollar AFTER their first ten million would NOT harm the economy.

What other countries spend on health care & infrastructure, we spend on low taxes for the super wealthy.
This type of spending is GOOD for the economy since accumulated wealth doesn't circulate while the economic benefit of improved infrastructure, education and health care is MASSIVELY beneficial to productivity (not to mention quality of life for 320 million people).
I'm seeing this argument in conservative circles that taxing the rich is "unethical."

What utter horseshit.

What's unethical is letting people die in the street from inadequate health care just so some banker can afford a second yacht.

Right now in America people are donating money they don’t have to build a wall they don’t need to solve a problem that doesn’t exist.
The GoFundMe for the Wall has raised about $3 million in 3 days.

At this rate, the Wall will be fully-funded by...2086.

I'm a sociologist who studies adolescent sexual violence. On this thread, I will be live tweeting the #Kavanaugh hearing, chiming in with sociological insights and research findings.
Full disclosure--I will probably step away for parts of it. While many conservatives have cast feminists as people who rejoice at allegations of sexual assault against powerful men, this is a painful process for us. We know survivors. We are survivors. And I will need breaks.
It does not bode well that the beginning of this hearing is starting with equating #Kavanaugh and #Ford's experiences with harassment following Dr. Ford's allegations. They are absolutely not the same.

I can't with this guy...but interestingly, he's also revealing a lot with each one of these interviews.

Why not just go speak to the Grand Jury? Clearly, it's not about avoiding spending more time talking about the investigation and your experience...

He can't help himself..
