The reason the burden is on City Mice to go talk to Country and Suburb Mice is that the latter just took one from the former and the former were so gobsmacked they still think the latter coordinated with folks whose language they can't speak.
If the City Mice don't care why this came to pass or don't think they can understand or perduade the Country and Suburb Mice, then they can go back to their ventis and ahi tuna and just try again. No skin off anyone's nose.
I kind of think it would be better for the country as a whole it we all got to understand each other better, but I'm pretty sure we're at the Manicheaism Stage of the Fall of Empire, so it's not gonna happen.

"We have no right to control our own borders if the right age-and-sex mix appears there." Self-evidently stupid and counterproductive.
Arguments are not won purely on merit, but on the manner in which they're proposed and argued.
This is especially true with matters in which the moving party seeks to have our laws, if not suspended, then at least highly-charitably enforced and interpreted: If you want to make a case that our immigration law as it exists is immoral, you can't simply hand-wave at it.

Being enamored of the way things were when you were young does not make you conservative; it makes you nostalgic.
Protesting one's conservatism has very little meaning if the substance of your protest is nostalgia and self-appellation.
Similarly, if the entirety of one's conservatism is a single policy stance, coupled with a congenital resistance to change, this merely makes one idiosyncratically intransigent.

Jesus doesn't mesh totally with either side but Jesus is with the poor, marginalized, and the downtrodden. Everytime.

Three brothers at the bottom of a nomadic caste system, they move to a city, and through a series of conveniences to the people in power become morale rallying points for a newly independent state.

This means for the first time, ever, girls talk to them.
But they are still, in spite of any newfound notoriety and esteem, trashy boys from the hungry steppe. who, literally, expected to die bachelors.

There is no way they can handle this like normal, well-adjusted people.

Still early here in the hearing room, but this will be my thread for Day Two of the Brett Kavanaugh confirmation hearings. Today: Each senator on the committee gets 30 minutes for questions. If they all take their time, and none go over (ha!), that’s 10.5 hours.

2 million people in Gifu
0.1% of population is an accountant-equivalent
5% of accountant-equivalents in Gifu are bilingual
10% of those are comfortable with international taxation

None of other 9 people speak software.
Notice how quickly playing the Venn diagram game puts you in a job market of 1? This is very useful for differentiating your offering and charging more (TM). There's ~3 million software developers in the US and that number falls of scary fast when you start adding things.
