The use of the age 16, when the allegations were against him as a 17 year old, and the yearbook was presumably published the following year when he was 18, there is no reason for him to even think of the age 16.

As someone who has played the comms strategy game, the fact that he repeated it, using an age that was earlier than even the earliest accusations, means one thing:
He was coached.

Coached to cast doubt on the sexual nature of the query by ascribing it to a younger, more juvenile self.
But interestingly, that also means he was coached to perjure himself, as that yearbook clearly is not from when he was 16.

Also, seriously? Were it a inside joke about farting, there would have been additional context provided... but that seems a very improbable joke anyway.

Also, why pin the joke on a 16yo self? Why not the more probable 14 years old?
Because it was intended to sound contemporaneous to the other comments, infantilizing him at an older age to allow the other arguments to seem more plausibly innocent,
when in reality there were much more adult concerns on his mind.
I do hope that the FBI enquires as to the deeper meaning of this 'inside joke' - but more importantly, enquires as to the reason he intentionally misstated the age he was when this joke was made.
