One year ago we lost 59 victims in a mass shooting in Las Vegas at a Country concert from the Mandalay Bay Hotel.

Today we remember their names.

1) Hannah Ahlers, 34 year old mother of 3
2) Heather Alvarado, wife and mother of three from Utah, had traveled with her family to attend the concert in Las Vegas
3) Dorene Anderson, 49 of Anchorage loved ice hockey.
4) Carrie Barnette, 34, recently had bought a home in Riverside and was a Disney Food Service employee.

5) Jack Beaton, 54, a gregarious man who loved helping other people; a family man who adored driving his truck with his hat on sideways.

6) Steve Berger, 43, was just about to celebrate his 44th birthday. He had 3 children.

7) Candice Bowers, 40, was taking a rare weekend away from her home and responsibilities in Orange County to go with a friend to the Jason Aldean concert.

8) Denise Salmon Burditus, 50, wife of 32 years, was always smiling.

9) Sandy Casey, 34, a special education teacher from Vermont, taught middle school and worked for the district for nine years.

10) Andrea Castilla, 27, came to the Route 91 Harvest Festival to celebrate her 28th birthday. Her sister and her fiance, as well as Andrea's boyfriend were there.

11) Denise Cohen, 58, was the "life of the party" according to her younger sister. She loved the outdoors whether at the beach or a festival like Route 91.

12) Austin Davis, 29, was a pipe fitter with his softball buddy, Thomas Day Jr. who also died. Austin was a member of the United Association, representing pipe fitters.

13) Thomas Day Jr., 54, was a contractor who worked in a branch of his father's home -building business in Corona. He had traveled to the concert three grown children and group of friends including Austin Davis who had also died.

14) Christiana Duarte, 22, had a gorgeous singing voice and was very giving. She had gone to the country music festival with her brother's girlfriend. Both women were shot. While her friend survived, Christiana did not.

15) Stacee Etcheber, 50, was a hairdresser and mother of two children aged 10 and 12.

16) Brian Fraser, 39, attended the Jason Aldean concert with his wife and other family members and friends who all survived. Unfortunately Brian had moved closer to the stage in the hopes that his favorite song was coming soon when he was fatally shot.

17) Keri Galvan, 31, worked for a decade as a server at Mastro's steakhouse. She had three children aged 10, 4 and 2 and they were "her world".

18) Dana Gardner, 52, started work as a document clerk before becoming the deputy recorder of San Bernardino county. She was known for her "can-do" attitude and vibrant energy.

19) Angela Gomez, 20 a nursing student, attended the concert with her boyfriend.

20) Rocio Guillen, 40, left her two children at home wiht her parents for a rare time alone with her fiance taking a trip to Vegas to celebrate a friend's birthday. They were planning their wedding.

21) Charleston Hartfield, 34, an off-duty police officer for the Las Vegas Metropolitan PD had written a book "Memoirs of a Public Servant" published last July focused on his day-to-day-work on the force and his work on the streets in Vegas.

22) Chris Hazencomb, 44, had a modest birthday with his mother the week before. The mother and son lived together to work in tandem to care for his father who was ill for a decade before he died. He had died shield his best friend's wife from the bullets.

23) Jennifer Irvine, 42, built her own legal practice in San Diego, specializing in family law. Her hobbies including snowboarding and Tae-Kwon-Do. She also loved going to Country music concerts with her friends.

24) Nicole Kimura, 38, was part of a close-knit group of 16 friends. She was an auntie to the children of these friends, a playmate who was eager to host tea parties, color with them, and craft.

25) Jessica Klymchuk, 34, from the province of Alberta in Canada had been visiting Las Vegas with her boyfriend. She was a school librarian, bus driver, and mother of four children.

26) Carly Kreibaum, 33, was visiting for the weekend with two friends at the Venetian Hotel. Carly was a mother of two from a small community in northwest Iowa of about 600, who lived on a farm.

27) Rhonda LeRocque, 42, was happily married to her husband Jason and their 6 year old daughter. She had previously flew down to New Orleans with her church to help after Hurricane Katrina hit. She had worked for IDEO and was a Jehovah's witness.

28) Victor Link, 55, worked in the financial services industry and lived with his partner Lynne. He had a son Christian from a previous marriage. Mr. Link had taken a bullet to the chest. His paramedic friend Rob could not revive him according to Victor's dad

29) Jordan McIldoon, 22, a mechanic from British Columbia was an only child. His parents described him as outdoorsy, about to begin trade school, and had taken a trip to Las Vegas with his girlfriend.

30) Kelsey Meadows, 28, had graduated from Taft Union High School in 2007 before returning in 2012 to work there as a teacher, alongside her mother. The principal Mary Alice Finn stated "she had a sweet spirit and a love for children".

31) Call Medig, 28, worked as a bartender and server for Moxie's Grill and Bar in Edmonton, Alberta. Her coworkers loved her warm and funny presence. The day after she was expected back from Las Vegas was the day she was being promoted to manager.

32) Sonny Melton, 29, attended the concert with his wife Heather. They had been married a year and had traveled from Tennessee for the music festival. When they heard gunshots he selflessly sacrificed his life by shielding his wife from the gunfire.

33) Pati Mestas, 67, had partly retired from her job as a deli manager for a local convenience store in Corona California. She enjoyed spending as much time as possible with her 3 children, 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. She was a very strong Christian.
34) Austin Meyer, 24, hoped to own his own auto repair shop. He had recently moved to Reno, Nevada to earn a degree in transportation technologies. He went to Route 91 festival to see his favorite acts Bobby Bones and the Raging Idiots play, with his fiance.

35) Adrian Murfitt, 35, had been working 16-hour days as a commercial salmon fisherman in Alaska. For a vacation he booked tickets with his 2 childhood friends for the Route 91 country music festival. He loved hockey and could fix almost anything.

36) Rachael Parker, 33, worked as a police records technician for the Manhattan Beach Police Department. She had been off duty at the time when she was shot. She later died at the hospital. She had worked for the MB PD for 10 years.
37) Jennifer Parks, 36, married her lifetime friend and high school sweetheart Bobby. A mother of two, Jennifer worked as a kindergarten teacher and volleyball coach for the Westside Union School District. She was with her husband at the concert.

38) Carrie Parsons, 31, was a manager at the Seattle office for the employment firm Ajilon. She went to the concert as a girls trip according to her friend Laura. She had posted photographs on social media of her excitement to see Eric Church perform.

39) Lisa Patterson, 46, had three children 19, 17 and 8. She led a busy life of volunteer work, helping run her husband's small hardwood flooring business and driving her kids to practice. She went to Las Vegas with a group of mom friends from her church.

40) John Phippen, 56, ran a home remodeling company in Santa Clarita. John and his son John, an emergency medical technician, were heroes that night: they crawled toward the wounded and used belts as tourniquets.

41) Melissa Ramirez, 26, daughter of Mexican immigrants who became US citizens, majored in business and had recently received a promotion at the car insurance company where she worked. Her love of country music brought her to the festival in Las Vegas.

43) Quinton Robbins, 20, worked a recreation assistant for the city of Henderson, Nevada. He also coached flag football for 5 year olds, as well as his brother's softball team. He was thrilled to score tickets to the music festival as a big country music fan.

44) Cameron Robinson, 28, had taken Monday off from his job as a management analyst for Las Vegas to attend the country music festival with his boyfriend Bobby. He had created a smartphone app that eased navigation for attendees of annual conferences.

45) Tara Roe Smith, 34 of Alberta Canada was an educational assistant. Tara was a mother of two who grew up in Manitoba.

46) Lisa Romero-Muniz, 48, was a mother of 3 and a high school secretary in Gallup New Mexico. Her husband Chris had forgotten their anniversary last year. Tickets to see her favorite country singer Jason Aldean was his way to make up.

47) Christopher Roybal, 29, was a Navy Veteran who had served stints in Afghanistan. Christopher went to the concert with his mother Debby for his birthday. He had recently moved to Denver from Colorado Springs to work as a general manager at a Crunch Gym.

48) Brett Schwanbeck, 61, grew up in Airzona with five siblings. Brett was a retired truck driver who met his fiance in high school. He was planning to marry her this past January.

49) Bailey Schweitzer, 20, worked as a receptionist for Infinity Communications and Consulting in Bakersfield California. While in school she was a cheerleader and frequent volunteer at the local Speedway, which her family owned.

50) Laura Shipp, 50, had one son, Corey, a marine reservist and bartender at her local Chili's restaurant in Las Vegas. They loved to go to Dodgers games and listen to country music which brought them to the festival.

51) Erick Silva, 21, was working as part of the security staff at the Route 91 festival. Mr. Silva was assigned a position near the front stage. He tried to help audience members escape over the barricade. He would die a hero, helping usher others to safety.

52) Susan Smith, 53, was a devoted mother to a son and daughter and was a popular office manager at an elementary school in Simi Valley California. A lover of country music brought her to the Las Vegas Route 91 festival.

53) Brennan Stewart, 30, was a huge country fan. He had posted a video of himself performing the country hit "You Should Be Here" which went viral last year. Many saw it as a fitting remembrance of Brennan and those who passed that night.

54) Derrick Taylor, 56, was a California corrections officer in charge of inmates and a volunteer who fought forest fires. Derrick and his girlfriend Denise Cohen went to the concert where they both tragically died. He had one son, Kyle.

55) Neysa Tonks, 46, was a mother of three sons Kaden, Braxton and Greysen. She lived in Las Vegas and was well loved where she worked at Technologent. A generous community member, every year she delivered 100s of backpacks and supplies to those who need them.

56) Michelle Vo, 32, was an insurance agent from Los Angeles. She enjoyed paddle boarding, golf, surfing and traveling: she had been all over Europe and Southeast Asia and had Iceland next on her list. Michelle had attended the concert alone.

57) Kurt Von Tillow, 55, was married with one daughter, who all attended the Route 91 festival with him. He was described as "the most patriotic person you've ever met" by brother-in-law Mark. While his wife and daughter escaped unharmed, Kurt did not.

58) Bill Wolfe Jr, 42, was a wrestling and little league coach in Shippensburg PA. He also worked at an engineering consulting firm Dewberry. He was married to his wife Robyn. They were celebrating their one year anniversary in Las Vegas.
