Knowledgeable source tells me that White House forced out Pentagon Chief of Staff Rear Admiral Kevin Sweeney (ret.)
Official title was “Chief of Staff to the Secretary of Defense.”
Sweeney was going to leave within a couple months, having worked directly for Mattis, but WH forced him out before he wanted to leave, knowledgeable source says.

1. This morning I left the town of Bayeux in France, pop. 13,888. In this age when journalists have been called “The Enemy of the People,” I wanted to reflect on the remarkable contribution this little town has made in honoring the profession of journalism through its @PrixBayeux
2. For 25 years, the @PrixBayeux has honored the top war reporting. The town has a commemorative garden where every year, the name of every single reporter killed reporting war is added. Why would a tiny provincial town become associated with reporting war?
3. One answer can be found if you look at the map: Bayeux is a 20-min drive from Omaha Beach, where Allied forces landed in 1944 during World War II. Locals say Bayeux was the first major town liberated from the Nazis by the advancing troops. But that memory is starting to fade:

(THREAD) I just watched @rustyrockets interview @jordanbpeterson, and want to say that—among my many objections to Peterson—I resent his framing retrograde cultural philosophies as post-postmodern. This thread details how Peterson's schtick is destructive. I hope you'll share it.
1/ For those who don't know Peterson, he's a pre-Modernist thinker whose embrace of some mid-20th c. philosophical, lit-critical, and psychological dead-ends—an ideology frozen in the 50s—has made him a hero among the alt-right. He's part of the so-called "Intellectual Dark Web."
2/ Just as I'd have less problem with Bill O'Reilly if he copped to being a retrograde boor whose head as to key matters like gender equality and civil rights is stuck in the suburbs of his childhood—so we'd know to ignore him—Peterson's dangerous because he disguises what he is.

After 70 years of imperial/neoliberal indoctrination the web of lies is so obviously absurde (9/11, Skripal, WH = ISIS, etc.), that it is dissoluting. The empathetic humanity connects, closes ranks and sends their eternal psychopathic rulers and their lackeys into nowhere land.
The "evil empire" is a lifelong three year old child. I certainly loved my children at that age too, however only because they created not only a surreal mess, but also made steady progress.

A great documentary about psychopathy and society:
The elite invented "democracy" to protect them from the empathetic people. The media are their means for misleading the people sedated by "democracy". This is definitely a bad thing since the people have become educated and the elite almost totally insane.

Time to raise a couple of red flags. 22 year old activist Ja'mal Green is picking up some media attention as a new candidate for mayor of Chicago. Even @ShaunKing has retweeted a few articles about him.

He's gonna need to clear a lot up before anyone supports him. Thread:
1) Green has tweeted multiple times blaming women who are abused, saying they were asking for it or that it's their fault for "messing with thugs", going as far as to say men are thugs *because* women mess with them.
2) A particular example that he has gone back to multiple times is Rihanna, both blaming her for Chris Brown hitting her and mocking her having been beaten by him.
