I have been lucky to pass most of my career under an aegis of political support for my work and never really encountered projects where the politics were more significant than the technical achievement until just a few years ago.
We have to remember, in the information business, that people have to want what we produce, and that our results often yield winners and losers
…moreover a project of any size and/or conspicuity is successful only in spite of—often powerful—political opposition
