2/ From the meeting on Sept 11th, 2018 - the Boring Company has proposed shortening the tunnel by 2600 feet (~.50 miles) and removing the cutter head via the residential property they own. $tsla
3/ Specifically mentioned in the same meeting by city planner is that vehicles specifically cannot exit the tunnel and leave this property as part of the zoning exception. $tsla
4/ @ 58:43 in the Sept 11th meeting, Boring Company's own employee says: testing would occur 8 times per year and "it would not be open to the public, that's very important". $tsla
5/ @ 1:15:52 - Answering question "What are you aiming to accomplish with this tunnel?" from council-member: "This test tunnel will remain closed to the public, and will be used for testing purposes" $tsla
6/ Also, they are leasing this property to the public - originally it was supposed to be leased to a #spacex employee but per representatives at the meeting they will be leasing it to anyone who wants it. (I'm not sure why honestly)
7/ They have confirmed they are shortening the tunnel as of September 26th, 2018 - the tunnel does not run the full length of the original plan (ends at house where the spur is) and will remove the cutter head. That basically confirms @entylawyer's blind.
