DOJ says #SCOTUS shouldn't overturn its "dual sovereignty" cases, which say it's not a double-jeopardy violation for the state and federal governments to separately prosecute someone for the same crime.
(This case had been the source of an, err, theory about this case expanding the president's pardon power to also cover some state crimes, and although that never made a ton of sense, note that the Trump administration is taking the opposite position in court.)
