But some businesses just do the losing money part. A critical skill is knowing the difference between the two types.
Customer-based corporate valuation (CBCV) = valuing a business on a "bottoms up" basis by valuing the customers. In a subscription business especially, this is an essential process if you want to understand if real value is being created despite a lack of current GAAP earnings.
"CBCV isn’t about being profitable from day one. It’s about variable profitability in net present value terms (while still being mindful of fixed cost overhead of course!)" Determining whether a specific business is a delicious cheesecake or a turd requires detective work.

White SAs who moan all day long about how life is so much better in so-called first world countries have no cooking clue.

In those countries you find: Cracked roads, congestion, queues at home affairs and hospitals, painfully slow bureaucracy, tardy service delivery: AND 👇🏼
Taxes are higher, incomes are lower, jobs are harder to find. And of course, I’m talking about whites here. You have no idea how good you have it in SA. You are the least affected by crime here, get higher value for money, can use privilege to circumvent bureaucracy, etc 👇🏼
I see scores of white SAs out shopping on the weekends every weekend, filling fancy restaurants to the brim all day on Sat and Sun, eating out multiple times a week, drinking bucketloads of alcohol (expensive). I’ve lived in 1st world countries - kiss this 👆🏻goodbye if you move.

Last week I used Abe the Donkey in real work, but it was carry work, not pull work.
I put a saddlebag on him, carrying acorns, water, and a hand trowel, and we planted about 64 (guesstimating) acorns in a paddock I had gridded out.

2. Today I used him in real draft (pulling) work.
One of my objectives is to get him to pull a cart / wagon / buggy. If his feet are well enough, I'd like him to prepare the seedbed in our garden, which would be light tillage work.
He's never learned any of this.
3. He's about 15, lived with me all his life. His parents lived here; I sold his mama to a friend and his daddy died of natural causes.

Competence is knowing what to do in a situation and how to do it. It is not the same as excellence.
Excellence is dependent on other people, like judges, examiners, teachers, assessors, inspectors, auditors. But we can't control these people and whether they think we're excellent or not.

#b 'Teknik menjawab' is not a series of rituals that you carry out to secure an A in the exam. You don't get guaranteed an A just through superficial actions like highlighting keywords or drawing meniscus or inserting isi tersirat.
The problem is students and teachers treat teknik menjawab as some sort of pseudo magical ritualistic gestures that will bring a certain outcome. Draw a pentagram, slaughter a chicken, and your wish will be granted.
Some remote Pacific Islanders in 1940s came in contact with Allied and Japanese soldiers who were more technologically advanced and thought the soldiers were gods who had many "cargo" (canned food, electronics, modern stuff)
