...if you think about the fact that my dad grew up with kerosene lights in his house as a kid and then their village later got electricity and now these electric diyas are made for the masses in India to buy and use, then you will realize why I am so blazingly a capitalist
especially if you couple it with my own experiences visiting India for entire summers as a child onwards and witnessing first hand what happened as it threw off the shackles of a socialistic democracy -- it's like watching a sped-up history film, compressed into shorter timespan
for instance, I observed, and experienced, firsthand:
-- the move from centralized state television (Doorsdarshan) to satellite TV and the resulting explosion of choice;
-- the deregulation of the airlines and the explosion of choice, quality, and cheaper prices/access;
-- and,
