Let me begin by expressing how humbling this meeting was. I met quite a few promising youthful leaders in the Not for Profit sector and also had the privilege of rubbing minds with the best educators in Africa. Professor Chris Ogbechie is a remarkable enigma. #LbsUpdate
Barrister Eze Onyekpere, the lead director of Centre for Social Justice (CJS) to me is a SAN, Advocate and Activist whose phenomenal work in 30years paved way for No Ones like me. It was humbling sitting next to him and listening to him share. I cherish this day. #LbsUpdate
Distinguished Temie Giwa-Tubosun, the founder and CEO of LifeBank is just a remarkable gift to our world. Her passion and positive energy is contagious. I caught a lot of things mere sitting next to her and being under the sound of her voice while she shared. #LbsUpdate
The lovely and soothing Nana Asantewa Afadzinu, Executive director of west African Civil Society Institute (WACSI) flew all the way from Accra- Ghana to ess us with her wealth of experience. No amount of money could have paid for this. #LbsUpdate
The organizers wowed is with their excellence and pristine culture, creating an atmosphere that made learning easy. It felt like home and I personally hope to return to share our model with youthful enthusiasts who represents the future of Africa. #LbsUpdate
The concept of responsible enterprise has a fundamental problem, as people and businesses conceptualise the planet as having abundant resources, hence leading people to believe that economic expansion has countless possibilities (Wadham, 2016).
We have seen irresponsible action of individuals, not for profits, government and firms especially in Nigeria. But we mostly blame government. The responsibility does not solely reside with one party, but is contributed to by business, consumers and government.
If the efforts of these people are successfully integrated, this triad can shape society. With the current status of the world, there are an inordinate amount of challenges that are faced as a global society.
