For those of you, who are still wondering why white women vote to uphold white supremacist patriarchy, may I offer some of my essays to explain?

Oh, man, he really needed to take my American religious history class that emphasized violence as central to American history.
Every semester I taught the class, I would ask students what they thought America was about. They always said freedom & equality.

I, then, spent the semester showing that folks don't practice what they preach.
The whole class was about colonialism, violence, genocide, enslavement & conflict.

By their midterms, primarily white students were overwhelmed because American history wasn't what they were used to.

Lately, I have been thinking about how much easier my life *feels* now that I'm not depressed & I'm working to manage my anxiety.
Things that seemed impossibly hard like making a phone call or sending one more email are easy.
Smiling at people, who I don't know but smile at me, becomes easy.

“Women for Trump” aka Footsoldiers of the Patriarchy
These “Women for Trump”:
- Who indoctrinated them?
- Who taught them to submit to men?
- Why are they so brainwashed?
- Should I save them?
For decades, I’ve been asked by white people:
- What is wrong with Muslim women?
- Why do they put up with all that patriarchy and misogyny?
And here I am asking the same about these “Women for Trump” who are the 53% of white American women voters who voted for him.

The president of the USA has been accused by at least 20 women of sexual assault.
A candidate for congress had been accused by at least 6 women of sexually molesting them when they were teenagers.
And now a man accused of attempted rape is up for a seat in the Supreme Court.
And remember that one judge on the Supreme Court was confirmed despite being accused of sexual harassment.
When sexual harassment and assault are at the highest levels, it gives a green light that women’s bodies are fair game.

The idea that WW vote this way b/c they succumb to "pressure from fathers and husbands and boyfriends and male employers" (per HRC) is
some patriarchal bullshit that underestimates women's agency + it dismisses the extent to which WHITE women vote in the interest of RACE.
