BREAKING: Attorney General Jeff Sessions resigns at Trump’s request.

It's happening, Trump is going to attempt to end the Mueller probe. THIS IS NOT A DRILL.
wapo.st/2qyyRYL
Lindsey Graham in July 2017: "If Sessions is fired, there will be holy hell to pay."

How long before 2018 Lindsey is appointed Attorney General?
Trump named Matthew Whitaker, Sessions' chief of staff, as acting AG. Whitaker is now set to oversee the Mueller's probe.

Whitaker, once wrote an opinion column before joining the DOJ titled "Mueller's investigation into Trump is going too far." nbcnews.com/politics/white…
Chuck Schumer: "Given his previous comments advocating defunding and imposing limitations on the Mueller investigation, Mr. Whitaker should recuse himself from its oversight for the duration of his time as acting attorney general."
It's easy to understand Trump is a narcissistic spoiled toddler. He doesn't care he is obstructing justice or that this will lead to an investigation. He admires authoritarians and believes he can cover it up before the new Congress is seated in Jan.
Fox News' Andrew Napolitano explains Trump broke the law by appointing Matt Whitaker.

“Under the law, the person running the Department of Justice must have been approved by the US Senate for some previous position. Even on an interim post.” rawstory.com/?p=1388288
IMPORTANT: Matt Whitaker was never nominated to a position which required Senate approval. Whitaker's appointment as AG lacks any legal standing.

Moreover, appointing Whitaker, who has publically opined the Mueller probe is a which hunt, is clearly an attempt to obstruct justice

This is likely absolutely the case. Any direct move against the Mueller probe will likely lead to the unsealing of a mountain of indictments. However, if the midterms showed us anything it is that half the country doesn't care.
Senator Ron Wyden: "Donald Trump must be terrified about what Robert Mueller's investigation has uncovered. Trump is desperately trying to protect himself and his cronies from justice by installing a political hack as acting attorney general."
“This is being done by a person who said, ‘Let’s dry him up by shrinking his budget.’ Beginning to look more and more to me, Shep, nefarious," Napolitano said in an interview with Fox News's Shepard Smith

thehill.com/homenews/media…
On FOX: “The president can fire an AG for almost any reason, but not for an improper purpose. He cannot fire him if the purpose of the firing is to shake up the leadership of the [DOJ] in order to interfere with a criminal investigation that the president wants to interfere with"
Sen. Bernie Sanders warns Trump against interfering with Robert Mueller's investigation and that such interference is an impeachable offence. Yeah, Bernie, we know! So does Trump, Trump doesn't care, his goal is to try and cover up the investigation.
John Brennan: "If there are some major indictments coming down the pike, I wouldn't be surprised if you’re going to see it very soon. Generally the report that the special counsel will draft and deliver to Rod Rosenstein, I wouldn't be surprised if that is ready to go."
Rep Jerrold Nadler: "Trump may think he has the power to hire and fire whomever he pleases, but he cannot take such action if it is determined that it is for the purposes of subverting the rule of law and obstructing justice. If he abuses his office...there will be consequences."
Meanwhile there are already nation wide protests planned for tomorrow. Find one near you. We must regain rule of law in America.
Adam Schiff: "Interference with the Special Counsel’s investigation would cause a constitutional crisis and undermine the rule of law. If the President seeks to interfere in the impartial administration of justice, the Congress must stop him. No one is above the law."
Cory Booker: "Sessions' firing at the hands of the president is an alarming development that brings us one step closer to a constitutional crisis."

"Trump made this decision based on his fear of being implicated by ... Robert Mueller's investigation."
nj.com/politics/index…
Mark Warner: "Senators from both parties have repeatedly affirmed their support for Robert Mueller's investigation. Every one of them should speak out now and deliver a clear message to the President that the Special Counsel's investigation must continue without interference."
Trump’s acting attorney general, Matt Whitaker, has no intention of recusing from Russia probe, associates say
washingtonpost.com/world/national…
George Conway (Kellyanne's husband) and Neal Katyal: "Trump's Appointment of the Acting Attorney General Is Unconstitutional." nytimes.com/2018/11/08/opi…
"The president is evading the requirement to seek the Senate's advice and consent for the nation's chief law enforcement officer and the person who will oversee the Mueller investigation."

"We cannot tolerate such an evasion of the Constitution’s very explicit, textually precise design. Senate confirmation exists for a simple, and good, reason. Constitutionally, Matthew Whitaker is a nobody."
So basically the investigation should be curtailed or shutdown at at time.

Chuck Schumer: "Our paramount view is that any attorney general - whether this one or another one - should not be able to interfere with the Mueller investigation in any way." hill.cm/6rp59YO
BREAKING: Secretary of Labor Alexander Acosta is being considered as a permanent replacement for Jeff Sessions as Attorney General.

Matt Whitaker says he would only support federal judges who have a Biblical view, and specifically a New Testament view, of justice. "If they have a secular world view, then I'm going to be very concerned about how they judge," Whitaker said in 2014.
desmoinesregister.com/story/opinion/…
Before he led the Justice Department, Matthew G. Whitaker promoted company accused of deceiving clients.

The man illegitimately acting as as our Attorney General was literally a hot tub scam artist.
wapo.st/2qzax96
This is potentially hugely legally significant. It appears the courts are not only willing to entertain the idea Matt Whitaker was illegitimately appointed AG but are overtly concerned and are going to try and determine his legal standing re: Mueller.
