Back when it looked like Mueller or Rosenstein might be fired last spring, I wrote two pieces for Slate. First: Mueller probably followed DOJ guidelines in sharing evidence with state prosecutors and other federal prosecutors: 1/

More likely, Mueller could be hired by the next House Juciciary Committee or by a state official like the new NY AG. And that's why I think it is less likely that Trump fires Mueller, and more likely he uses Whitaker to undermine or restrain Mueller.

Read the DOJ documents against Maria Butina and you will understand that LOTS of Republicans are going down--soon.
