Remarkable fact. 60% of the views on @TheDrum over the last six days have been around the Iceland ad ban. Big, big numbers. The public is lapping this one up *from us at least* in unprecedented volumes. This is an ad that has inspired action or at least attention from the public

Next @camclarke clocked the petition. Now with 881,057 signatures, it was this morning delivered to Clearcast who banned the ad on 'political' grounds thedrum.com/news/2018/11/1…
The issue was that it was actually @GreenpeaceUK's creative, delivered by creative agency @motherlondon a few months ago.


On its second run via Iceland, it has accumulated more than 50m views across social channels. The power of a 'ban' eh?

Me? I felt sorry for Clearcast. It saw a lot of vitriol for enforcing the rules. We don't want brands running ads from political bodies. In this case it was a good cause, but you could see malevolent lobbies abusing access. Think of the Brexit Bus...

Over the last several days, I have been following something that has shaken me to my very core. The anger I have felt as a result as caused me to question a LOT of things politically, including my stance as a liberal.
Perhaps a little questioning of the political and social stances I hold is healthy. Most people's views change with time, their individual morals/ethics, and plain old self-interest.
I've been a liberal now about 10 years, after having been raised a Rush Limbaugh-listening, Fox News-watching member of the Right. I left that cesspool of fanaticism before the outright hostility towards Blacks and other minorities started.

Also, they killed an abortion doctor.

Over the last several days, a new hashtag has appeared and propagated on Twitter: #VerifiedHate. The concept seems to be to attack verified (blue-check) accounts that are theoretically promoting hate against white people.
We downloaded recent tweets containing the #VerifiedHate hashtag. We found 18092 tweets from 9747 accounts - the first tweet is in the wee hours of the morning on August 5th, and the hashtag takes off on the evening of August 7th.
This hashtag campaign appears to have been planned on other platforms in two stages. First, we have this post on Gab from 8/5, which is within minutes of the first tweet from @Keque_Magus. It's followed by plenty of additional Gab discussion promoting #VerifiedHate.

One sign of automation: duplicating the tweets of prominent accounts. We searched for duplicates of several of @realDonaldTrump's more popular tweets over the last ten days, and tested them for accounts that tweet 24/7, post 90%+ of their tweets via automation services, or both.
We found 121 accounts that duplicated recent Trump tweets matching the above criteria. We analyzed the accounts manually and categorized them into one of sixteen categories, as shown here.
The majority of these account post their tweets via automation services such as IFTTT (although some bots automate the web browser or phone app). This figure shows the most prominent in this set of automated accounts.

What if the reason Strzok is EVERYWHERE in the FBI handling these crucial investigations is because he was Obama & Holder's political fixer and James Comey was told to STFU and stay out of his way?

Comey doesn't seemed fazed at all by the Strzok revelations.
What if....what if Comey flipped and TOLD Trump & Sessons and @GenFlynn about Strzok's role in the FBI as the political fixer for Obama/Holder and once Holder left, for Lynch?

They'd not only know how Strzok engineered letting Hillary & her aides walk....
...they'd realize they could set the PERFECT trap for this guy with Gen. Flynn himself as the bait.
