“Artificial growth” - I need to do a psychoanalysis of Buharideens. Nigeria has not seen a movement like this one before in my view
Recall - A Buharideen is someone who loves Buhari more than he loves Nigeria (link.medium.com/48WfGcPz1R) 
The trouble is that the leader of this movement has not written (or read) a book. There is no documented evidence of his beliefs. What is Buharism? It’s just a set of fixed beliefs to be applied no matter the evidence or situation
This scrambles Buharideens and creates a kind of dissonance where they try to explain the foolishness of the person they love. And there’s no way to do this other than rewrite history
It also puts them at risk because if he changes his mind suddenly, they have to change their position too since they don’t believe in any particular ideas. What they believe in is Buhari (who doesn’t write or say anything)
Imagine Buhari changes his mind tomorrow and decides to float the currency

That’s the motivated reasoning behind an analysis like that. Buhari went to press the ‘reset’ button. Did he read the manual before doing it? This guy was just angry at chocolates and fancy dresses and vandalised the economy as a result
Me I find this thing so fascinating. Usually a devoted following like this comes from writing or speaking or ideas. But I have no idea why anyone is so devoted to Buhari that they will rewrite and retrofit any argument around him no matter the facts. So weird
