just ordered take out instead of eating leftovers again and have killed my mother she is dead now it's very tragic but then also this chicken parm is very good

Helpless and unavoidable are not synonyms. The time to stop autocracy is before it gains power. Once it's entrenched you cannot stop it, you can only eradicate it. Anything else is too little too late.
It is worth noting that people are starting to become very careful with their language vis-a-vis resistance, because the longer we allow this to go on the more dramatic ending it will have to be. And nobody wants to call it early. It's too big a thing.
I would caution that there is equal danger and risk in treating this too lightly and in speaking out of fear instead of clear-eyed understanding of what, historically, this path leads to.
