Pilot: sooooo we're going to be hitting some turbulence on the way down so we're going to have the flight attendants come through the cabin early to pick up trash because it won't be safe for them to be moving around the cabin (1/x)
Pilot: soooo yeah it's going to be kind of rough as we begin our descent so I'm going to need you to make sure all of your belongings are secured because we wouldn't want anyone getting hurt
Pilot: sooooo please make sure your armrests are all the way down and locked because it's going to be sort of a hard landing
Pilot: soooo yeah folks we're going to have a bit of a hard landing so please make sure your seat belts are pulled nice and tight
me, sobbing: PLEASE STOP TALKING
we land on one wheel and still manage to bounce twice

flight attendant: so now that we've all been through that together and are best friends for life, if you could please leave any leftover trash on the aisle seats...
Like, I used to enjoy flying but then I A) developed anxiety, B) worked on Flight Simulator, and C) was on a flight where the turbulence was bad enough that a flight attendant rolled down the aisle and I think I basically have a full-fledged phobia at this point, and:
I mean then I read stuff like this and please can we have bullet trains? theguardian.com/environment/20…
And also, ffs, can you please just tell us, "hey, it might be a little bumpy on the way down so the flight attendants are coming through early to pick up stuff" and leave it at that? Like, please don't keep telling me it's going to be bad. Once is enough.
I mean, I have to travel for one reason or another like 4-6 times a year and the last 7 flights I have been on have been pretty damn bumpy and it's doing a number on my nerves.
