So I finally got around to reading the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport Master Plan. austintexas.gov/page/airport-m…

It's pretty damn cool for the most part: by 2040 our airport will be twice as big, have 3 terminals, 66 gates, and capacity to handle 31 million passengers a year.
That said, I do have one quibble with this plan: the weird personal rapid transit pod system that's supposed to take passengers from the parking lots to ticketing by 2027.

People need to stop trying to make PRT happen. It's an idea that only works well in science fiction.
Rather than a PRT system, why not just use that money to build an airside people mover that links the terminals?

It worked for Atlanta, Cincinnati, and Denver.
