I just watched @LumusVision CEO talking to @Scobleizer in his interview talking about the future of the company, future of spatial display technologies etc. One thing is very clear Lumus is not trying to be another Magic Leap / HoloLens / Meta ...
They are so clear that @LumusVision wants to position themself as Samsung's LG's of Spatial Era manufacturing the optics. I so excited to see them what Tier 1 companies they have partnered with and what they are gonna release in Q1 end (a 20° FOV light weight AR Glass)
Reflective Waveguide is the super key word ♥️ what ever the tech in Spatial at the end of the day the key component/role of it comes down to Optics Physics 😊 @LumusVision @Scobleizer 🎉
@LumusVision has been in the industry since 2000 they have their tech is US Air Force using their options of Heads Up displays.
And knowing about the IPs and the amount of research they have put in the R&D seems that @LumusVision is in th correct path !
It's seems they are doing all thee at less than 60 Million dollars funding.

Hope Hicks joining New Fox as EVP and Chief Communications Officer is yet another illustration that Fox News is not a news network, but rather a partisan propaganda operation aimed at serving Trump's interests. Also underscores that Fox News is already gearing up for 2020.
A few additional thoughts:

1) Unlike James Murdoch, who was feckless and either unable or unwilling to align the company around his vision, Lachlan is capable and shrewd. He's made some decisions about the future of New Fox and is implementing accordingly.
2) Lachlan is fleshing out C suite. One thing is very clear: He is aligning New Fox around the Fox News apparatus and accordingly has been moving key Fox News people to bigger jobs. Last week, he put the Fox News ad chief in charge of all ad sales for New Fox; now Hicks.

drake's introduction is. it's alot. but it's also indicative of his status as a foil to tendou from minute ONE as vs yaguruma who took a minute to really show his true colors

drake's thing seems to be detachment but of a more full degree. it isn't like performative like tendou's
it's a more full detachment. he wants to pretty things up but then leave them to die, as opposed to tendou, who always acts detached from other people but is always inevitably planning on saving them to the fullest extent of what he can do

Trying to think through this new California rule to require all new buildings to install rooftop solar. Some links...

1) @BorensteinS isn't a fan, says it's "a very expensive way to expand renewables" compared with utility-scale wind/solar: faculty.haas.berkeley.edu/borenste/cecwe…
2) The CEC evaluation report says the rule would add $8,000 to $17,000 to building costs, while producing benefits twice that. (Though there's no comparisons with the cost/benefit of alternatives to boost clean energy.) docketpublic.energy.ca.gov/PublicDocument…
3) That report might well overstate the costs though — @solarmj points out that installing solar upfront is much cheaper than installing solar retroactively. (Though there's still the question of what the optimal amount of rooftop solar is.)

So the right-wing narrative now is that the Russian indictments prove that Russia's only intent was to seed discord and didn't do anything to help get Trump elected. This is incredibly stupid for a number of reasons. THREAD.
2. First, the indictments don't prove anything other than what the suspicions are about the 13 people indicted. This is only a small piece of an enormous investigation by Mueller, not the entire investigation.
3. So to say this "proves Trump's innocence" is like standing in a pitch black room and saying "I'm sure this is a burlap sack" when it's actually an elephant's ear.
