The United States Senate has unanimously passed a resolution saying they believe Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is responsible for the murder of Jamal Khashoggi and calling on the Saudi government to hold all of those responsible accountable for the murder.
Any one senator could have blocked this resolution, which had backing from Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, Democrats, etc.

None did.
Senate separately voted 56-41 to end U.S. involvement in the war in Yemen in an extremely rare use of the War Powers Act. BUT it's 11 votes shy of a veto override & House GOP used the farm bill to prevent a vote this Congress.
There will be a new speaker in January.
Expect votes
