Meanwhile... Labour attempt to force vote on no confidence in PM pretty risk free for them - it isn't a way of actually forcing a vote that might collapse the govt, just embarrassing the PM and tying govt up in knots
Early indiciations are that ERG brexiteers would back the PM, but that could change - let's see what DUP decides
Ah... Sammy Wilson has just told us DUP won't back Labour if they manage to get their vote in the PM
But in meantime, might I introduce you to Griffith and Ryle, aside from Erskine May, Parliamentary experts, who say convention suggests the govt does have to give Labour the time for this debate (apologies if this sounds like utter gobbledybook - it sort of is)
For the avoidance of doubt, this kind of vote is not, repeat, not, the way opposition parties can try to collapse the govt and force an election - it's a different mechanism and doesn't have that power
