Last night some friends went to the Blockheads gig in Islington.
They went confident in the knowledge that antisemite Gilad Atzmon would not be appearing as advised by @IslingtonBC.

They were also deeply concerned that some fans of one of the most outspoken and unapologetic anti-racist campaigners of the 70’s and 80’s would decide that chanting the name of an antisemite is appropriate!
Leaflets were also distributed before the concert asking people to ‘support’ Atzmon! Atzmon is not ‘an anti-Zionist philosopher’. He is an antisemite and a friend to many Holocaust deniers who has often questioned elements of the Holocaust.

I’m sure @DerbyChrisW will be delighted that Atzmon had his moment in the spotlight but I wonder now what @IslingtonBC are prepared to do about this? It was after all their decision that Atzmon should not play as a way of showing solidarity with our Jewish community?
