Rec for best podcast this year: easy pick - Bagman by Rachel Maddow. Best podcast series probably since Serial season 1. Highly instructive of the era we live in. It’s not about Trump, and yet it’s all about Trump, without even saying his name. itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/bag…

I’ve seen some criticism FBI should not pursue Nat Sec inquiry into sitting President. Could be two other options. 1) Congressional oversight - which has failed miserably 2) or a Special Counsel investigation - which is what we have and should stay on course and unimpeded
Congressional oversight of President has completely deteriorated over last 2 decades. In aggregate, Congress has failed in their duties, party has overtaken country, personal power has been pursued over the welfare of the people

- you witnessed Russian hackers targeting a wide swath of Americans including the DNC, DCCC, former Secretary of State & a Presidential candidates staff
- someone previously targeted by Russian Intelligence joins the Trump campaign and then appears on a stage in Moscow supporting Russia policy and speaking negatively of US policy

Questions are so numerous it’s hard to even compile, but need for such an inquiry should have been obvious when platform changed during summer of 2016. It is definition of a CI inquiry.
Big ?’s - does AG nominee Barr see the evidence and then ensure the Mueller investigation is seen through? Think Senate needs to guarantee Mueller investigation remains in tact. Hope is not a method.

Trump’s rant at WH meeting today even made Bill Shine—disgraced FoxNews exec now head White House PR guy—squirm. He couldn’t sit still, as Trump rattled off his usual ignorant propaganda talking points and self-praise.
“What’s he done for me?”—Trump on Mattis, says he fired him because “I want results.” This rant at WH cabinet meeting is just incredible. It’s like he’s on speed. He just can’t shut up🤐. TV cameras should pan out—to capture the reaction of people in room.
How dumb is Trump? Really really REALLY dumb: "The reason Russia went into Afghanistan was because terrorists were going into Russia. They were right to be there. That's why there's no Soviet Union."

It's a miracle we've survived 2 years of this. Not sure about the next two.
