Remember to never work for a candidate because you think they will win - who knows - find inspiration and someone you know who will inspire others, who gets you so excited about restoring trust to the office you’ll sleep in your car & think inflatable mattress “aren’t that bad”.
And if you can, work with your friends. You are about to spend ALOT time together.
And if you don’t end up on the same team with your friends, remember you will all soon be part of a bigger team, a more important cause, in 15 months.
Now get some sleep and go kick some ass.

I got in my car in 2003 & drove to Burlington, Vermont to intern for Howard Dean. I got a chance because of amazing staff who made the room bigger.
And we lost. Bad.
