Working on adding a few more Strategies to be able to Trade more Capital. The Straddle is something I've somehow never felt comfortable with but this is something I think I can add fairly quickly and I am backtesting it over the last few years on my favorite underlying
I also want to allocate at least 20-30% to Directional Strategies and have started with high Probability Credit Spreads. Doing it with Debit Spreads proving far more challenging. Have read up on many Strategies and attended some Seminars but still lack conviction and confidence
No Strategy works unless you are able to make it your own. This will be a long process for me. I have zeroed down to 3 setups. The next step is to develop and code signals and then testing them first on a simulator and then gradually in live Markets

Is luck important in the road to becoming a successful Trader? I believe that to a great extent it is. Without a huge element of luck I don't think you will ever find a system that connects your belief system with something that makes Money in the Market.
Yes, it still requires hard work but there are many who are far more intelligent than us and who have worked harder who have still not succeeded. Ray Kroc worked hard all his life but had very limited success. He was always on the lookout for new opportunities
But success came only at age 52 when he discovered McDonalds. He was prepared and had worked hard to get the luck but if not for a happy confluence of events he would have died a small time salesman. That's luck. It comes only to the prepared mind-but sometimes it never comes

Selling puts unnecessarily scares a lot of options traders.

If done correctly, selling cash secured or slightly levered puts is one of the most lucrative and simplest of options trading strategies.

The value of puts is derived from what the marketplace assumes is downside risk of any underlying.

ATM puts make up their premium from in part the equity premium and partly the volatility premium.

For those underlyings where and when the volatility premium is a positive number, selling these puts can be an enriching endeavour.

The equity premium is simply the premium you get paid for holding the stock for long periods of time.

Puts marry these together.
