“Disruption” does what it says on the tin - it creates chaos & upends lives. Most people aren’t used to change to the degree we are in tech. It’s a highly unpleasant experience for them.
If they live in a country with a minimal social safety net like the US, “disruption” could mean bankruptcy, hunger, homelessness. These are actual people we’re talking about here.
