There are so many problems with Casado’s rhetoric. The first is that on 4 May, 2018, a ceremony in a French-Basque town marked the end of armed conflict in the region with the dissolution of ETA, the last armed leftist organization in Western Europe.

The narrative known as "todo es Eta", everything's ETA, relies on equating Catalonia in 2018 with the Basque Country in 1983: the CUP with Herri Batasuna, the CUP’s youth wing Arran and CDRs with Kale Borroka. It's not clear who the hell is supposed to be ETA in this equation.

The purpose of the narrative is also to justify applying the inapplicable Article 155 in a kind of Plan ZEN 'a la Catalana', involving the criminalisation of Catalan secessionism. There's enough ignorance and nationalist zealotry for millions of Spaniards to have swallowed it.

Plan ZEN was designed by Spanish Interior Ministry in the '80s directed by José Barrionuevo of PSOE, jailed with Rafael Vera for 10 yrs for their role in State-supported terrorist organisation GAL's dirty war against ETA, but partially pardoned and paroled after a few months.

PP leader, Pablo Casado is a leech: he lives off bloody wounds, incites and feeds off the hatred of other. Who wants a war? Who misses ETA? The real obstacles to peace in Spain are politicians like Pablo Casado. Minorities and vulnerable groups will suffer if they ever get in.
