Dear @JeffFlake -you don't get it. You have no idea how angry women are. You just don't. You know what there is no room for in politics? Racism, cronyism, misogyny, tear gassing children, concentration camps, mass shootings-just the general atrocities that are forced on us
We the people stood by and were appalled while candidate Trump said a woman was "bleeding out of her whatever", while he stalked a woman on stage during a debate, belittled the looks of another woman, braged about sexual assault
We saw him assure us that "there is no problem down there", demonize minorities threaten our civil rights...all the time thinking that he'll never get elected..there is no way he will get elected....
Then he did...and what we saw was that a boastful, loud, unqualified man was elected over a more qualified, intelligent woman..and you know what..we've ALL had that experience...we've all had men interrupt us, sexualize us, demean us
We've all had a man take something that we worked for and earned...and you know what...Trump is the personification of everything we find vile, everything we fight against, everyone who oppresses people he finds inferior
After he was elected we said...Congress will check him, we elected them. They don't hold women in the same contempt that POTUS does. We will tell them how we feel, they will help...
And you know what...YOU DIDN'T! You stood by as he tried to overthrow our institution, destroyed the rule of law, profited off the suffering of others and destroyed our world alliances while embracing our enemies
You said you would help...then folded. You said you were concerned...then did nothing...you said you valued the people...then you didn't....
So yes...we are pissed. We got to the polls, we voted we told you in no uncertain terms we will not stand for it. But still no one listens to us, still the Senate stands by and watches while we fight the evil in the administration
You didn't hear us when we marched, you didn't hear us when we voted, but now you hear us when one of us swears, offends your ears..why don't you try listening to the anger behind this, to the frustration, to the betrayal that we have experienced?
But you won't- you quit. Not that you were helpful when in office. But now that you are a private citizen, spare us your moral indignation. You had your chance to make this better. You didn't. Now there is a new, younger, more diverse House
They understand...they feel our pain and yes, they swear...but you know what...I really don't care. You all earned this.
