Today @ChuckGrassley hold that seat. He apologized to Kavanaugh for having to address the misconduct charges and interrupted Dems trying to question Kavenaugh during the hearings.
Bob Dole (R-Kansas) 1995-1996-helped make food stamps more accessible and was a major advocate for the American's with Disabilities Act and was honored for raising awareness of the Armenian Genocide @senateGOP @senatemajldr
Today @JerryMoran holds that seat and is vowing to kill the ACA, opposed medicare reform, clean energy security act and supported the Keystone pipeline.Opposes LGBT rights and a woman's right to choose @SenateGOP @senatemajldr
Elizabeth Dole (R North Carolina) 2003-2009 worked on a bipartisan bill to authorize billions of dollars for work on alternative energy and conservation and after her political career established a foundation to help wounded warriors @sentateGOP @senatemajldr
Today that seat is held by @ThomTillis who actually has spoken out about the need to protect Mueller and need to end the shutdown and protect the borders without a wall...so there is hope @senateGOP @senatemajldr
But let's look at who is at fault for the current impasse...@senatemajldr He won't even allow is caucus to speak...won't bring bills to the floor for a debate let alone a vote..@SenateGOP
So @SenateGOP do you really think your leader is allowing you to continue the tradition of being the "Greatest deliberative body in the world" when you aren't allowed to deliberate, discuss, expected to tow the party line no matter what @senatemajldr
Are you continuing the history of compromise, of working through problems, of working for the American people? or are you working only for your own interests and for the interests of @senatemajldr, the lapdog to a flawed and corrupt president? @SenateGOP
Even one of your own @SenJohnKennedy R LA has said the inability to vote on any amendment has said "I think it sucks" @SenateGOP @senatemajldr
So why are you SENATORS! Members of one of the worlds most powerful and exclusive "clubs" allowing your leadership to strip you of your power? Have you no shame? Do you not care for your constituents? Your country @SenateGOP @senatemajldr
Many of you have complained politics is broken but YOU have the ability to fix it by changing your leadership...put someone else in as majority leader, work with the house, CHECK AND BALANCE the executive @senatemajldr @SenateGOP
You can do this. You just have to be brave, be strong, be a SENATOR! DO YOUR CONSTITUTIONAL DUTY! Be the heroes the Founders wanted you to be @SenateGOP @senatemajldr
