1/ The German Model 3 in not priced attractively for $TSLA:
Yesterday I did some calculations on the German Model 3 pricing (which is probably the worst European price for Tesla)
Cash price for AWD is 56,380 €
2/ The price includes 19% VAT (9.002 €)
56,380 € - 9,002 € = 47,378€
Then there is a 10% import duty
47.378€ / 1.10 = 43.071€
That's $50.393, $600 less than the US price after price cuts
Now one needs to consider:
a) shipping
b) no credits (GHG, ZEV)
3/ Exchange rate seems to have been too high
$49,138 (at 1,14 USD/EUR)
4/ Substract another $2,000 extra shipping cost according to Elon. $TSLA
5/ Do not pass Go. Do not collect regulatory credits. Go directly to margin hell. $TSLA

1/ An interesting small detail re EU type approval is that all passenger cars (and light commercial vehicles) approved in the EU after March 31st require an eCall system.
2/ Wikipedia:
"The eCall initiative aims to deploy a device installed in all vehicles that will automatically dial 112 in the event of a serious road accident, and wirelessly send airbag deployment
3/ and impact sensor information, as well as GPS or Galileo coordinates to local emergency agencies. A manual call button is also provided."

1/ Another very sketchy business practice by $TSLA is detailed in this thread. According to this thread $TSLA used to promised car buyers free supercharging not only for their current purchase, but also for any future car purchases from $TSLA

2/ "my account used to say since day 1 after I bought my car, "You have free, unlimited Supercharging, including your current Tesla vehicle and any new Model S or Model X purchase." until it was changed and an antedated expiry date ("if purchased before 31-2-2018") was added"
3/ Now Tesla changed the terms in the accounts according to the very disappointed OP and does not want to honor this promise. Reportedly even Elon was informed on the matter. Conclusion:

As so often, few facts, but bragging was limited to statements, such as "highly competitive". Let's have a look. $TSLA
3/ First finding was the fact that contrary to news reports in media during Dec 2018, starting price for the M3 dual motor is not €57,900. Largely unnoticed, it was lowered to €55,400. It is not clear why - it seems that the lower price came with opening of configuration. $TSLA
