So, let's talk front-door approach to solving the being Red Screen of Death'd by Google. You get smacked by the Google Ruler, and you have to 1. Get a Google account (I have one) and then 2. Go to the "Search Console" where you can then argue with them as to your fate. #gphiles
I get this. The warlord does not like something you're doing, you gotta show up at the camp, kiss the ring, bring gifts, and approach, hat in hand, and ask them could you please not get all your crops and livestock killed because you kind of need the crops and livestock.
Once you're walking around in the Google Palace, you essentially get the free version of Google Analytics (a Google Product you can pay for) and also, oh, a security report, i.e. "Here is why we are blocking your entire domain."
So, here's the report of what's "harmful" in my site. This is on the main textfiles.com site (textfiles.com) as well as cd.textfiles.com (the archive.textfiles.com is just a set of .zip files). Let's set aside, JUST FOR THE MOMENT, what these are.
So, I submitted a report to the bottom (see at the bottom) where I am supposed to do what they want to make it so I'm acceptable to them. My report basically said "I think you're doing this wrong and I want this done better." Of course they got back to me with "NAH"
Obviously, there's no granularity here, because <whispers> GOOGLE IS NOT A CUSTOMER-FACING/FRIENDLY ORGANIZATION. They have never been customer-first and it always super-shows. It's a company that would proudly show off a phone-interface that fakes a person haltingly talking.
Citation on how Google thinks it's better/easier to just make a synthetic human that doesn't announce what it is to make the Human Chum Bucket (i.e. Real Life) interact with it at all costs:
So, on this level, round 1 OF COURSE goes to Google, because Google set up a kangaroo court of "is there even a human back there that even looked at this". Answer is surely no - there's no trail to who made the decision or what it means, etc. So I pushed a button and it went BZZT
Google thinks the content being mentioned is "dangerous". Is it dangerous? Let's go into that, another thread, super-excruciatingly. #gphiles
